Our Property Management Team

Jay Raman has been a REALTOR since 2001 and a broker since 2010. Jay as the managing director of Ashoka Lion is responsible for overall activity for the property management division. This is why his focus is assisting our agents and staff handle client needs, managing our team goals and production, moving company forward through rules and regulations, developing policy, and technology adoption. 

Jay has a strong experience prior to entering this business in finance and the accounting industry. He has worked for firms such as Walt Disney Company, Goldman Sachs, and Pricewaterhouse Coopers prior to entering into the world of entrepreneurship. 

Jay Raman was one of the first officer of the Houston Chapter for National Association of Residential Property Managers. In addition, he was the President for 2 years at the inception of Houston chapter.  He was interviewed in the Houston Chronicle for 20 something investors entering into real estate in 2005, where he spoke about the importance of understanding the investment terms on mortgages

Outside of real estate, Jay is an avid alum of the University of Texas, where he graduated with a masters in Accounting.  Also, while building the firm, he went to law school at the University of Houston where he graduated with his law degree in 2009.  He has passed along this joy to his two little girls to the dismay of his University of Florida alum wife. Outside of work and being a rabid Longhorn fan, he has been volunteering helping run his local temple’s Sunday School program. If life was not hectic enough, his family includes a love of animals with dogs, cats, fish, and even birds in his life.

Her background includes over 15 years of experience in Association Management managing communities of varying sizes from as small as 6 homes to as large as 2300 homes prior to joining Ashoka Lion. She has an accounting degree with a minor in psychology. Alice is a proactive learner and is regularly reviewing and updating herself on current HOA laws and events that could impact our communities.

When not working, Alice enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their three children. Together they enjoy going to the park, educational games and activities, building with legos, and much more. In the rare moments her toddlers are asleep and she has a quiet moment to herself, she will spend that time reading science fiction/fantasy/mystery books or watching action/comedy movies.

Joshi Joseph is the General Manager for the Dallas, TX market. He manages our Dallas property management client portfolio. He graduated in 2002 from the University of Texas at Austin majoring in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate. He then went on to work for a couple of commercial banks as a portfolio analyst and a loan underwriter. Joshi then went on to obtain his MBA from Southern Methodist University in 2008 majoring in Finance with a focus on Real Estate.

His real estate background began as a child. He has been working with single family rentals since he was very young through his father’s rental property portfolio doing everything from minor repairs to handling the eviction process. He’s pretty much been through the whole gamut of the property management experience. Joshi oversees owners needs in our Dallas market, and he actively will manage a select group of properties based on location.

In his free time, Joshi enjoys being active playing sports such as basketball, flag football, golf, and tennis. He’s also a self proclaimed amateur foodie.

Sandra has joined our team in 2020. She is new the industry, but she is a incredibly fast learner and very capable of helping our owners and tenants. Sandra has a business degree from the University of Phoenix with specialization in Business Administration. She is also bilingual in Spanish and can help our tenants and vendors who are more fluent in Spanish than English. 

In her free time, Sandra enjoys spending time with her fur babies, and her family.  She also enjoys reading and testing her marksmanship at the gun range on her free time. 

Jesse is a valued buyer agent member of our Lion Real Estate Group team division of Ashoka Lion. He has a strong background in working with client to help them find a home in the Houston area. He is bilingual in Spanish as well. 

Will Cruz has been working with our management teams since 2016. He will visit properties to assess issues, as well as as handle "handy man" type projects with our Lion Remodeling company team. In addition, Will will handle basic landscaping and hauling for client properties, while he will also update us on the condition of the homes as he works on the landscaping (weather permitting). 

Ashley has been a agent on Jay Raman's brokerage team for several years, but in 2020, she accepted a position to help manage the marketing of our vacant property management listings for lease. In addition, she will work with our clients who are wishing to sell their properties in Houston as well.  Ashley will work with the clients to discuss marketing efforts, pricing, etc.
