Whataburger App Helping Texan's Check Electricity Status in the wake of Hurricane Beryl

In the wake of major storm like Hurricane Beryl, which caused significant damage and millions of Texans to be without power, many residents affected will turn to the internet to get updates on the restoration of standard services. One such source is Centerpoint's Outage map, which would provide pin marks that would display a general ETA on when power would be restored. Unfortunately the many residents checking this site are discovering that the  outage map is currently not available, and has been instead replaced with a outage count that only discloses the number of residents still without power.

Without the outage map, many residents have no easily accessible information to find out not only when there services will be restored, but what other areas are affected - this can make simple tasks like grocery shopping or getting gasoline take hours longer to complete as residents are forced to go in person before finding out if the location has power or not.

But some residents have discovered an app from a local retailer that is helping them get a sense of power outage status. In comes the Whataburger App! Whataburger, a prominent Texas fast food chain, is helping local Texan's determine power restoration in the wake of Hurricane Beryl with the status of the locations - which they have many in the Houston, TX area! Closed locations can be safely assumed to be in areas without power restored.

To utilize this handy tool, you can search for it in your devices store and download it for free. Once downloaded, you can use the location map to check the surrounding areas to determine other stores and services that may be open or closed. Gotta love Whataburger!
